• As the scheme was finalised ahead of submission (now successfully approved), several design updates were made to enhance sustainability and architectural quality:

  • We refined the structural design, resulting in a 27% reduction in steel use compared to the earlier version of the scheme. This change is expected to save approximately 812 tonnes of CO₂. Importantly, these improvements were achieved without altering the external appearance of the building.

  • The material treatment of the lift shaft within The Scoop was revised. A continuous blue-green enamel finish was introduced along its full height, helping it integrate more cohesively with the wider architectural character of the scheme.

The Approved Scheme

Following planning approval from Southwark Council, we are now moving into the construction phase to deliver the transformation of 110 The Queen’s Walk. The approved scheme retains the distinctive character of the original building while significantly enhancing its sustainability, functionality, and public realm.
